“Tonight was my daughters first show, seeing the smile on her face when the curtains were drawn back on stage, was priceless! Thank you!” Marie, Parent
The Long Overdue Theatre School has been running since 2002, giving children across Andover the opportunity to build on their talent, learn new skills and make friends.
In 2017, two friends, Teoni and Lillie took over the school to run in conjunction with their storytelling company – Stories and More. Teoni had been teaching at The Theatre School for 7 years previous to this, so with a knowledge of the children, parents and workings of the school they felt it was a great move to take. Since then the children have been involved in many events in and around Andover, performing for the locals, including performing and creating a full scale musical production at The Lights, Andover. But it won’t stop there, they have big dreams for the future of the school.
Children who attend The Long Overdue Theatre School have made wonderful friendships across the local schools, they find it a safe place where they can relax, be themselves and have fun within the arts.
The values within the 3 diciplines that are taught at the school, really do prepare the children for their future, we help to inspire creativity, build confidence and encourage dedication – to name a few. We believe performing arts to be a valuable tool to shape the children of our generation.
